He joined Bain Capital in the year 2008. Bain Capital is one of the oldest and leading global private investment firms in the world. Prior to joining Bain Capital, he was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company and led teams in the healthcare industry.

His interest is in synthesis of complex molecules and drugs containing chiral centres. This expertise culminated in development of many chiral drugs for cardio vascular diseases, anti-inflammatory, proton-pumping inhibitors. The non-biological complex iron drugs and anti-hyperphosphatemia coupled with complex oncology drug, HIV drugs etc. form the basic premise of his applied research activities.

He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Colour Advisors India Private Limited.

Mr. Samonnoi received his MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He graduated with an MS in Economics and a BS in Chemical Engineering from BITS Pliani, Mumbai.
