There’s a section of our society that spends their lives serving the rest of us. From the soldiers stationed at Siachen, to the beat constables who patrol our streets by night, these men and women stay away from their homes and families so that we can sleep soundly at night. Now, it’s time to give back.

We thought, why not serve them by livening up their homes? We’ve tied up with the armed forces and the police, to do our bit. And, if you’d like to show your appreciation for their selfless service, you can join us in giving back to them.

Our professionals are going to the homes of army and police personnel based in Delhi and Bangalore in order to give their homes a makeover. If you think it’s time we gave back to those who serve our country, then you can do your bit by accompanying our professionals, and lending a helping hand as we spruce up their homes.

How You Can Contribute:

If you’re in Delhi or Bangalore, open the UrbanClap App and search for “Serve a Uniform” category. You can then request to volunteer, at any time till Friday, 18th March,. Thereafter, we will partner you with an UrbanClap professional, to deliver the services between 11 am and 4 pm on Sunday, 20th March. The UrbanClap team will inform you of all the details, including venue, and approximately 2 hours of your time commitment will be needed.

We will be offering two services to improve the homes of our jawans and sailors. 
 
1. Home cleaning services
2. Home repairs (Plumbing, electricals and carpentry)
 
We will assign trained UrbanClap partners for each job. All you have to do, by signing up for “Serve the Uniform” program, is be physically present at the jawan or sailor’s home and coordinate the work. More importantly, it would be a good opportunity for you to share a conversation with these men and their families, and bring a smile to their faces.
Please note, the opportunity to serve the defense personnel is based on the availability of slots.
