Daily DIY Health: Ginger Lemon Detox Water to Hydrate You!

We all know what it’s like to feel low on energy after a long, hard day. Nothing helps more than a nice, cold drink to tease your taste buds. But, that doesn’t mean you need to pick up a sugary drink chock full with calories! Instead, you can now whip up your own ginger lemon detox drink while relaxing at home with the help of this easy-squeezy tutorial!

The two main ingredients of this drink, ginger and lemon, are known for both health and weight-loss properties. Ginger is not only an anti-inflammatory agent, it also allows you to burn extra calories while you workout. On the other hand, the Vitamin C content in lemon is a great antioxidant that helps you get rid of unwanted toxins easily. These two things, when mixed together, help you stay hydrated and energised!

What You Need:

  1. Lemon x 1
  2. Ginger x 1
  3. Ice cubes
  4. Mint leaves
  5. 1 Litre bottle

Instructions:

  • Cut the lemon into thin slices and chop up the ginger into small cubes.
  • Put the ginger cubes into a bowl of water and let them soak for 15 minutes.
  • Throw some crushed ice cubes into the bottle.
  • Add the lemon slices
  • Pour the ginger infused water
  • Top it off with a few mint leaves.
