Wishing You A Happy Independence Day!

Freedom can mean many things to many people. It can be something as simple as the ability to choose what you want to eat to something as big as being able to express yourself without any limits. It could mean spending the winter without the fear of not having a blanket or even, watching your favorite show without having to fight over the remote.

But nothing really captures freedom as well as this quote by Nelson Mandela,

For to be free is not merely to cast off one’s chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others.

And that is what freedom fighters were fighting for decades ago, what soldiers have always fought for and what we will keep fighting for. There will always be world powers, and wars and issues that shroud us in misery and despair. All we have to ensure is that our determination and courage are always present too, because you and I might not be heard but together, our voices will always prevail.

And to this end, let us pledge to be noble and respect, not only ourselves, but every person around us enough to give them the freedom to make their own choices, pave their own path and choose their own road, even if it has never been traveled.
