3 Instagrammers Gave Us #WeddingGoals With Their Wedding Guest Style!

It might be hard to believe *eye roll* but we save pretty wedding Instagram photos like nobody’s business. And since it’s wedding season, we’ve been saving a LOT of photos of what people are wearing to weddings – especially, wedding guests.

So when we saw these 3 Instagrammers totally kill it with their flawless #WeddingGuestStyle, we knew we had to share it with the world. I mean, it would be a disservice to womenkind if we didn’t. After all, we are all constantly trying to figure out what to wear to the next wedding!

Anahita Dhondy: Keeping Up With The Royals in Jodhpur

She’s a newlywed herself, and this chef behind the popular restaurant Sodabottleopenerwala gave us #SariStylingGoals with her elegant outfit. It’s an ombre patterned sari her mother-in-law picked from Ogaan that is given a modern touch with the frills border. How Anahita styled it, though, really took it to the next level.

How She Styled It

The Blouse

She picked a blouse with a close round neck that’s buttoned up and has a touch of pretty embroidery on the collar. The frills on the sleeves are in line with this season’s fashion trends. This is absolutely perfect for a winter wedding. In fact, those of you who tend to feel too cold can even wear a thermal underneath a blouse like this to stay warm!

The Hair & Jewellery

She put her hair in a bun and added a single flower to the back. Her mid-centre parted hairstyle was finished with a small maang tika. She put on delicate loop earrings and just added a couple of red bangles to complete the look.

Style Tip: Note how she didn’t go overboard with the jewellery. The sari is heavy enough, and the blouse design doesn’t need a neckpiece so she didn’t add any. Always keep your look balanced!

Swati Mukund: Modern Twist To A Benarsi Silk Sari

A Benarsi silk sari is an evergreen favourite and this hot pink floral one Swati wore is gorgeous! She’s added her own twist to it with the sari draped in a way that the blouse is completely visible.

How She Styled It

The Blouse

With a shirt collar, tassels on sleeves and a lace peplum, the blouse is a unique design. The reason why the sari was draped in this way was to showcase the blouse because it’s the modern blouse design that adds freshness to the otherwise traditional silk sari.

The Hair & Jewellery

While Swati has gone for a big, bold style with the bridal nath and long earrings, you can opt for something simpler as well. She wore this for a styled collaboration with Weave In India, the designer behind the sari so while she’s rocking it as a blogger, you can skip the nath as a wedding guest.

Masoom Minawala: Pastel Lovin’ At Winter Weddings!

Everyone’s favourite fashion blogger, Masoom Minawala aka Miss Style Fiesta, wore this STUNNER of a pastel lehenga for a collaboration with PoshPride! It’s ideal for the sister of the bride or groom. Although, a bride could also wear this to a smaller function (an Engagement or Mehendi).

How She Styled It

The Blouse

Looks like peplum style blouses are a HOT trend this wedding season! The full-sleeves design makes it yet another winner for Winter Weddings. We also love the v-neck flap collar.

The Hair & Jewellery

A heavily embroidered blouse, where the fabric covers the entire back & front, calls for a top-knot bun to show-off the beautiful work. Masoom only needed a small pair of earrings to complete the look. This outfit most definitely doesn’t need anything else!

Style Tip: Note how Masoom, just like Anahita, did not go overboard with the jewellery since the lehenga has more than enough work on it.
