This bride chose to keep her bridal looks simple (yet beautiful!) and the wedding decor divine (see the Victorian Cocktail decor photos!) A Goa affair where the wedding took place on the first day, followed by other functions – this was just one of the things that made this wedding special!
Monali & Rahul got married over a 2-day celebration at The Grand Hyatt, Goa followed by a reception at The Club, Mumbai. According to the bride “We wanted the wedding celebrations to be an extension of who we are as individuals hence we had a slightly different flow of events”. The couple wanted the wedding to take place on the very first day so that they could enjoy the union with their family and friends the following day.
Here’s a breakdown of all the things we loved from this Goa Destination Wedding!
Monali’s boho printed lehenga by Traditional Patola from Patan, along with a contrasting rani haar, was a unique pick for the mandap pooja ceremony. She decided to keep her makeup minimal and natural, not taking away from the main wedding celebration that was to follow the same day.
We also loved the bright haldi yellow kurta on the groom!

The bride wore an absolutely stunning princess kundan necklace with pink meenakari work making it a uniquely pretty design. A touch of blue stones in the jewellery coordinated it with the hints of light blue in her red Anita Dongre wedding lehenga!
The bridal makeup look included light smokey eyes, the slightest touch of blush and a pinkish nude lip colour. For a bride who doesn’t want to go OTT with her makeup, this is it!

The groom ditched the cliched entry on a horse and decided to enter in a beautifully decorated vintage motorbike instead. We LOVED it!
Monali didn’t enter under a phoolon ki chaadar. She walked into the venue as part of a traditional ganga aarti procession led by the family pandits. We think it added a royal and divine touch to the wedding!

The second day kicked off with an all-white themed brunch party inspired by Capri of Italy, where the couple went for their honeymoon! The bride turned heads in a Jade by Monica and Karishma creation wearing a ruffled crop top and a shimmering pastel skirt.
The guests followed the theme quite seriously!
There were also cute little things like colourful straws and small buckets, adding pops of colour to the otherwise all white decor.
One of the prettiest decor setups we’ve seen this entire year!
The ombre effect on the bar’s ceiling, with the same colours moving through the blooms on the table decor as well as chair decor looked beautiful.

We loved the Falguni & Shane Peacock pick for her cocktail evening.
The wedding reception had shades of ultraviolet (Pantone colour of the year) strewn in the decor which made it look absolutely gorgeous! <3 It was held at The Club in Mumbai and decorated by National Decorators.

Monali wore a deep blue (almost black) Sabyasachi lehenga and paired it with a plain blouse, so that nothing took away from that gorgeous benarsi silk skirt!
Her groom, Rahul, coordinated his look with hers by wearing a Raghavendra Rathore achkan.
We also loved the minimal use of jewellery, with the multi-strand kundan necklace being the piece making a statement. Her low bun hairstyle with delicate twisties in front, and subtle makeup, were spot on as well.
