16 Things to Love from Tulika’s Beautiful Spring Wedding! #DecorGoals

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]By now you’ll be well aware of our love for day-weddings because they’re just that gorgeous. With every new feature, we fall in love with the idea of a dewy bride in the prettiest pastel shades and a dapper groom by her side. We had the same reaction when we saw Tulika and Prabhjot’s gorgeous spring wedding with stunning wedding decor by Delhi-based Dreamsmith Weddings.

The wedding decor won our hearts, as did the bride for pulling off this intimate wedding with just 20 guests! We asked Tulika about their couple story and she joked, “Ours was an office love story that got a little too serious!”

Here are 16 steal worthy ideas from Tulika and Prabhjot’s minimal Delhi wedding:

1. The Wedding Day Decor!

One of our favourite things about this wedding was the decor. It was stunning! Beautiful! Gorgeous!

Floral stage backdrop for bride and groom’s seating

Pretty chair decor with baby’s breath

2. A truly intimate wedding ceremony

Tulika stuck to her family-only rule during all her wedding ceremonies and added numbers only for the evening reception party. She told us, “When we sat down to make our guest list, we had our top names noted in the first five minutes. We knew those are the only people we truly cared about and wanted to spend our time and money on. So we fearlessly planned the wedding we wanted and celebrated our beginning with an intimate set of people.”

Which is why she was able to choose to have a sit-down dinner. Tulika’s decorators organized a classy dinner table seating arrangements for the guests to sit down and enjoy their food. “Good food was priority number one for us, which is why we spent time to find the right caterer who could create a menu that suited our guests’ tastes.”

An insider tip from the bride:

Pick an off-beat venue instead of the traditionally popular farmhouses.

“We opted for a small farmhouse in Chattarpur (Ansal Villas) that fit in our budget while also suiting our small gathering. Definitely a game changer of a decision,” says Tulika.

3. The Bride’s Pink and Mint Green Wedding Lehenga

Tulika found the dream lehenga in her favourite colours of pink and mint green and then managed to add those colours to her wedding décor too. Personalisation for the win!

5. Flat jootis that are both comfortable and gorgeous

We have a soft corner for pretty bridal shoes and Tulika’s wedding juttis win in this department.

6. Personalised hangers for the wedding outfit

These custom hangers are a great way to personalise your lehenga photos. Low effort, high results.

Pretty Blouse Design

7. Baby’s breath for the bridal bun

Fresh and minimal, just the way we like things.

8. The Bride’s Minimal Mehendi Design!

9. Custom bridal cup #ForTheWin

Sure, hydration is important but not at the cost of your glamorous lipstick shade. Solution: bridal sippy cup with your favourite drink to go!

10. A picture with the most important women of your life

This has to be the new must-have shot in your wedding album.

11. Their perfectly coordinated jaimalas!

It’s important to choose your jaimala colours and flowers based on the colours of your outfits. Tulika & Prabhjot selected a jaimala design that perfectly complemented their wedding clothes – note how it blends in seamlessly, instead of standing out like a sore thumb. It’s important to figure this out with your decorator in advance!

12. Unique wedding guest book idea

There are a lot of ways to keep your wedding guests engaged, and here’s another one that we liked – simple memory sheets that’ll both keep your guests busy and end up becoming your favourite wedding gifts. The bride and groom placed these on the dinner table so that while the guests waited for their next course, they could quickly jot down a cherished memory.

13. Their no-frills pre-wedding shoot

We love the Tulika’s coral dress and Prabhjot’s white shirt combo. This is exactly how we like pre-wedding pictures, less drama, more natural smiles and of course, that perfect ring.

14. The Reception Decor at one of the best Wedding Venues in Delhi!

Zorba is a beautiful, slightly offbeat place to host your wedding events on MG Road in New Delhi. Add to that the beautiful decor they pull off at every event and Zorba is automatically on many brides’ dream venues list.

Simple table centrepiece

Cool bar tables

The “stage” for the bride and groom

Simple entryway decor with candles and tea lights

Decor for Zorba’s natural stage in the open amphitheatre

Entry way decor set up with tables

Note: Zorba’s lovely vibe comes partly from the dimly lit set up, and that’s usually extremely hard to photograph. Props to the photographer who managed to capture some great shots of the decor despite the low light!

15. A reception gown that lets you dance

Once the formalities are done, it’s time to party and a comfortable, dance-friendly reception gown is step one in that direction.

16. And the perfect wedding cake!

We love wedding cakes (ok, all cakes in general)! And this two-tier fondant covered cake is an elegant pick. The baker added the damask pattern incredibly neatly, and the edible flowers with that topper make it, honestly, just perfect.

Another tip from the bride

We asked Tulika about her must-have list during wedding prep and she surprised with this answer, “Happiness was an absolute must-have at our wedding and drama and positivity suckers who we’re generally used to having at weddings were the must-nots!” Now that’s one way to organize your planning process!

Tulika concludes, “The wedding industry is designed to cater to all your whims and fancy and there’s just no end to the amount you can splurge. Don’t waste your or your parents’ hard earned money to get things you don’t need to impress people who don’t care. Start planning ahead to get dream wedding while still sticking to your budget!”
