Like most startups, when UrbanClap started in November 2014, we didn\u2019t have a lot to go on. A handful of employees, a small space, and a shared vision- making life simple by connecting service professionals with their customers.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been over a year since we began our journey, and while we\u2019ve now moved two offices, delivered over a million service experiences, and grown to having 300 people- we still continue to move forward with the same vision that we started out with.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s why we thought we\u2019d have a little celebration, and who better to celebrate with than the very partners who joined hands with us to accompany us on our journey?<\/p>\n

So, we held the very first edition of the UrbanClap Partner Awards Ceremony at our Gurgaon office, where we got together with our partners and team members to acknowledge the true champions of our community!<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s What Happened:<\/span><\/h2>\n

A presentation on how to improve conversions:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The event began with a short talk by Abhiraj, Co-founder and CEO of UrbanClap. He started out by thanking all our partners for their support. Then it was time to address some of the more interesting questions that partners often ask us.<\/p>\n

\"1<\/p>\n

A common query that we often receive from partners is, \u201cI always respond to leads, but my conversions are very low. How can I improve that?\u201d It turns out that you don\u2019t have to do much to solve that! Our most successful partners all have one thing in common- a great profile! Once you make sure that you have a clear profile picture, a detailed description, and pictures that showcase your past work, you\u2019ll start making conversions in no time at all.<\/p>\n

Many partners also believe that it\u2019s hard for the customers to relate to them because they\u2019re viewing their profile on an app. We worked on this problem for a very long time before we realized there\u2019s a very simple way to help clients relate to the partners- adding a video to the profile! Not only do profile videos act as a live version of you, they also help the customer to trust you once they view the video.<\/p>\n

And, of course, when we\u2019re speaking of improving conversions, the most important step is to keep engaging with the platform! Often, you might not be receiving relevant leads from us, at first. But, as you start responding to leads (or rejecting them), we start figuring out the kind of leads you\u2019d like to respond to, and make the experience better for you!<\/p>\n

The Award Ceremony:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

We shortlisted our star professionals primarily based on their engagement with the platform and their connection with the customers. With this, we identified over 40 of our top partners who really stood out. Over the past year, they\u2019ve not just contributed to UrbanClap, but have also used the platform to further their business growth!<\/p>\n

  1. Tripti Tandon<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \"1\"<\/p>\n

    We were delighted to welcome Tripti and her wonderful family for this event. One of Delhi\u2019s leading dietitians, Tripti has been with us since the early days. Always quick to respond, Tripti made every effort towards partnering with us, whenever we asked. From constantly improving her profile, to replying immediately to each customer, we were humbled by the faith she showed in us at every step. And, we\u2019re delighted to say that it\u2019s paid off! Now, Tripti says, her most serious clients come from UrbanClap! Kudos Tripti!<\/p>\n

    1. Gautam Jain<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      A birthday party planner who has been with us for the last year, Gautam is the owner of Zoop Events, a company that started in North Delhi. Despite this, no project is too big or small for Gautam. His sheer dedication and passion reflects in the glowing reviews he gets from customers, and we\u2019re proud to partner with Gautam on our journey.<\/p>\n

        Chandni has been among our most inspirational partners. Her support and encouragement has motivated us to keep going and innovate further. Chandni\u2019s professionalism and her sense of initiative never ceases to amaze us, and we\u2019re glad to hear that she\u2019s managed to grow her client base over 3 times with UrbanClap!<\/p>\n

        A Q&A Session To Improve Partners\u2019 Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n

        Since we had the opportunity to bring the UrbanClap community together, we were also hoping to know more about our partners\u2019 experience, and what we can do to make UrbanClap better for them! That\u2019s why we opened the floor for questions, suggestions, and any other clarifications, and did we learn a lot!<\/p>\n

        Recently, the UrbanClap Partner App also included a feature through which partners could start recharging their credits on the app. However, we learnt that several partners have been facing issues with recharging their credits, and our tech team rose to the challenge and proactively fixed the issues right there!<\/p>\n

        \"2<\/p>\n

        We\u2019ve also decided to actively start working to resolve some of the other issues that were highlighted. That\u2019s why, from now on, we\u2019re going to be sending out communications once a week, so that all our partners can stay up to date about every new feature on the app.<\/p>\n

        And, we\u2019re also adding some new features to make the UrbanClap experience even more seamless for our partners. This includes adding a screen where partners can rate customers, generating an invoice for the purchase of credits, and adding a \u201cHired\u201d button for web requests!<\/p>\n

        An event like this, where we came together with our partners, gave us all an opportunity to learn and bond with the people who make our journey possible. We loved each and every minute of it, and we appreciate everyone who took the time out to be there.<\/p>\n

        In fact, we were so thrilled by the turnout, that we’re soon going to make this a repeating event, across all the cities we’re present in. So, if you missed it this time, you can always catch us for the next edition!<\/p>\n
