Here\u2019s a mixed bag of fun DIY projects you can rope in your little elves for and spread the festive cheer. <\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">Fireworks in a Jar<\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ditch the commercial fireworks and try this cool science experiment that is sure to up the kids\u2019 excitement levels. In another bowl, mix 4 tablespoons of cooking oil, and a few drops of different colours of food colouring. With a fork, gently mix the oil and colour. Pour this mixture into the jar of water &#8211; the food colouring will slowly slip out from the oil and into the water and begin mixing with the other colours, creating a mini firework effect!<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">Confetti Balloons<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Create your own shower of glitter to bring in the party at home! You\u2019ll need a couple of balloons, gift wrapping paper, a hole punch, a funnel and glitter. Use the hole punch to make mini confetti circles from the wrapping paper. Using the funnel, fill the balloons with glitter and confetti and then blow them up to their full size. Hang them from the ceiling using brightly coloured ribbon.
