The first day as I entered TABIS I knew I had to be here not just to teach, but also to learn. TABIS is a second home to me. I feel safe, confident and respected. I believe that we are a close knit family where everyone takes care of each other. I am lucky to have such amazing colleagues who have guided me through my journey. The roars of laughter and the chats with a cup of coffee just makes my day worthwhile. Being a part of the faculty at TABIS, I have never found it difficult to approach my Head of School or Head of Departments or share or given an opinion. Here I get a chance to teach in a way that I never got to learn. TABIS guides me, helps me understand my potential brings out my creativity and always appreciates what I do.

TABIS exemplifies what it means to be in a multi-disciplinary school. We not only believe that the purpose of education is to turn mirrors into windows, we truly carry it out every day. It has been 2 years since I joined the school, but not once have I felt unsupported. TABIS encourages us to be team players while still nurturing our uniqueness. Together, we strive to deliver excellence in education, and more importantly build lives. The team events and workshops organized at TABIS not only focus on our development as individuals, but also our mental wellbeing! Working in such a positive environment, I feel motivated and empowered in my journey to nurture young minds and bring about change through education.

The first thing that will strike you about our school is just how happy everyone is. Having worked here for the last 5 years, I can attest to the fact that this is one place that has nothing but positive vibes. The staff is always ready to help one another and the kids (no matter how naughty they are) always manage to make our day. In the last few years, this school has truly become my home away from home. A place that has always made me feel appreciated and loved.

My son Vivaan joined TABIS 5 years ago. My husband and I are so happy we selected this school for him because in spite of him having ADHD he has fit in so perfectly. The school is administered perfectly by Dr. Marker, Mrs. Marker and their team. The various difficulties of the students just seem to vanish at their expert guidance. The team at TABIS are not just teachers but also caregivers and our son has never woken up a day saying he does not want to go to school. The word INTEGRATED is part of the school’s name and it really integrates with the ethos of education. In other words, it takes care of education in a holistic way.

My daughter completed 3 years at TABIS this year. She joined the school in grade 6.Shifting her out of the mainstream school and separating from her twin sister was one of the toughest decisions to make, and follow, for my daughter and me. It’s very difficult to explain to a 10 – 11-year-old child why she needs to be in a different school, away from her twin sister and friends. When Dr. Marker told me that my settling time with the school will be longer than my daughter’s, it was difficult to believe! I prepared myself for a difficult time handling my child (but I hoped it would not be as hard as trying to cope with everything, along with bullying students from the previous school). But Dr Marker was right! I can’t be thankful enough to God to help me take the decision!TABIS is one of the BEST things that has happened to Divinaa. She learnt to smile again. She is a confident girl now and knows there is NOTHING wrong with her. TABIS has helped her realize her potential and capability. The entire team of TABIS is more like a family, not only to the students, but also to the parents. All the students at TABIS are treated with so much of love, care, affection, and personal attention that they are happier at the school than at home. This does NOT come with any compromise to academic requirement that will help our kids to merge with the mainstream education later in life. Our children are fortunate that TABIS exists and even more fortunate to be a part of it. If God gives children who need more attention, he also makes schools and the team like TABIS.My heartfelt gratitude to the entire team of this wonderful organization for their love, affection, care, guidance, and support to our kids.

Our son Shaunak has Autism Spectrum Disorder. He has been at TABIS for 6 years of his 10.7 years. From a quiet child with less words he is now a confident, talkative boy. We owe a lot of this to TABIS!We have had the unique experience of having gone through all the three programs, the Early intervention, the Global, and now the Mainstream school. Each has been a fulfilling one.The Teaching staff go the extra mile for our children. Be it a reward charts or a social story, they are well aware of tackling any issue. As parents to a differently abled child, we are well aware of the paucity of schools which can give a safe and inclusive learning experience. Thanks to TABIS, we didn’t have to look far! A heartfelt thanks to Dr. Marker who is always a comforting presence, Ms. Piya who is always there for us and to the entire Staff who take such amazing care of our children. We are eagerly looking forward to the coming years.

It was in Oct 2012 when Jay was diagnosed to be on the Autism spectrum. He was 18 months then. We were shocked, confused, worried, directionless and so much more. While running from therapy to intervention, one expert to another it was by sheer chance that we attended a talk in South Mumbai which talked about an upcoming specialized school supported by the Aditya Birla Group. That is when our journey with the school began. TABIS has become an important part of our lives. It is a place Jay is happy and excited to go to everyday. It is the place where he is welcomed as ‘Sunshine’. The entire team from Dr. Marker, Piya Maam, Ms. Giselle, the teachers, the mausis and the other school staff work day in day out to make it a place where the kids feel safe, loved, wanted and learn at their own pace. Dealing with special needs kids is not easy. Like us parents, it has been a learning curve for all of us including the school. The amazing part of this journey is the zeal to keep improving all the time for the getting the best out of the children with a regular open-minded exchange of ideas between the school and the parents. There has been a constant effort to adapt various strategies to keep Jay settled and maximize his learning while also sometimes giving us ideas on what to do at home. Dr. Marker has been exceptional in leading the school for all these years. He pays personal attention to all the children and gives invaluable and balanced guidance both as an educationalist and a medical practitioner. The combination of medication and strategies has been the foundation of the progress we have made with Jay. The school organizes lots of events to harness the potential of the children and showcase their abilities. We remember that in one of the annual day events Jay skated on the stage as a part of the act. Even the picnics, fairs and sports day have a lot of thought process put in. Recently the school has started these workshops for parents where various strategies / opportunities are discussed. No one knows what the future holds, but with TABIS we are sure that we heading in the right direction, one step at a time.

Hi, I am Gauri Menon. I joined The Aditya Birla Integrated School to complete my grades 11 and 12. I was a shy girl, not so confident, and didn’t like taking up responsibilities or being in-charge. The teachers at TABIS have a different approach when it comes to teaching. All the examples shared are realistic and relatable. The Junior College conducted various activities like debates where I participated for the first time. I was scared, but once I performed, I realized that it made me confident while speaking in front of audience. The school conducted camps every year which had team building activities not only for students but also for teachers. Being a House Captain, I enjoyed the power it gave me. I knew I wouldn’t be selfish and that I am the Head of my House during the Inter House Competition and the rest of the academic year. Joining this school was the best decision I made. Those two years of school helped me learn and look at things with a different perspective, which changed my life.

I have been in TABIS since 2014. TABIS has changed my life for the better. From patient and wise teachers that taught me through various educational methods – classroom, edu-tours and camps, and activities designed to push me past my limitations, I learnt to connect the dots between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications. I learnt how to deal with being put under the spotlight in activities and situations. I learnt to be responsible, to understand and respond better to others and self, and to manage my emotions, anxieties and challenges more efficiently. I am extremely grateful for the friends and family I made from the school; teachers who have always helped everyone in the best way they could; and the part I loved the most – great memories of the fun and learning of edu-tours and camps.

TABIS for me, has been a cocoon from which I have metamorphosed from a Caterpillar to a beautiful free-spirited Butterfly. TABIS is a Home Away from Home, where my teachers are my Gurus who imbibe qualities of life and show me the path to achieve my goals not only as a Student but also as an Individual. These values that are now deeply ingrained in me, will always remain as a part of my life’s journey. A sincere thanks to TABIS, and may it continue to touch many such young lives.

Personally, TABIS has helped me a lot. Earlier I used to think that I never fit-in anywhere, because I was different, and I learned differently. I would pray to God to make me normal. TABIS has helped me realise that everyone is different and being yourself is amazing. The atmosphere is so positive and welcoming. When you are in TABIS, you are not just in a school. You are in a wonderful family. The teachers are very kind. They help you learn in a positive and creative way. All the teachers help you to learn at your own pace. No one makes fun of you. They protect you. Another thing this school has helped in is to see the world in another way – a colourful, creative way. It has also helped me to express my feelings through music and art. Coming to TABIS was the best thing that happened to me.

I have always loved the first day of school better than the last day of school. Firsts are best because they are BEGINNINGS!!My daughter, Jhanvee, enters Junior College Level 1 at TABIS, this year. My, my how time flies, how fast our kids grow up into these smart, discerning know-how’s - responsible, talented, passionate, rational, opinionated....So, who is the SUTRADHAR here? Knowing how to draw out each child’s potential, softening the rough edges, shaping and grooming them...Well!! in Jhanvee’s own words, My Treasure Trove - My TABIS.Her "Finishing School" of two years begins, final touch up starts, before she walks out that door, with no fear! Head held high with a big smile towards a surest future.

As new parents of TABIS we are very happy with our daughter, Sumehra's overall progress. She has not only overcome all her fears but become a more mature, confident and relaxed child. She has made a lot of new friends and this not only brings out the best in her but gives her a sense of being accepted and confidence which she always lacked. She has moved out of her shell which was a huge concern for us. We, as parents are happy with her over all development. Thank you to all the educationists in The Aditya Birla Integrated School for continuing to bring out the best in Sumehra.

The Aditya Birla Integrated School has helped my son in a great way. The small class size and individual attention by the teachers has helped him to learn at his own pace without feeling any pressure. He enjoys school and learning. He has come out of his shell and his self-confidence is building up slowly. There is also marked improvement in Craig’s learning abilities.
